Dave Alvin autographed photo

Store date: 1991-2000.

This autographed publicity photograph of Dave Alvin was a gift from the proprietors of Zydeco, a nightclub in Birmingham (it was specifically from Steven Knight, if I’m not mistaken). And it was given to the store in that frame, no less.

The date of the photo signing is unclear, as Alvin was signed to the Hightone Records label (whose logo is at the bottom of the picture) from 1991 to 2000. And that “Laser” with a “z?” Happened all the time.

And, speaking (or not) of the transitory nature of all things, I just peeked over at my Facebook account to see if Steven Knight’s first name is spelled with a “v” or with a “ph.” Looks like we are no longer Facebook friends. So, screw it, Steven with a “v” it shall be.
